The Appearance
Hair: Ro’s hair is quite often a complete mess, being thick and absurdly curly. It stands out a bit from his head, and only serves to contrast against his most noticeable features, his face and his eyes due to its night-black color.
Face: Rodolphus has amazingly striking cheekbones that give him an almost skeletal look when he frowns or takes on anything other then a neutral expression- he inherited the feature from his mother, while his younger brother, Rabastan, took after their notoriously attractive father. His jaw line is the only feature that his mother says resembles his father- strong and, as one of his relatives put it, “Carved by the Gods” Rodolphus’ eyes are a haunting pair of near-black orbs, a trait also inherited from his mother. His eyes are said to stop people in their tracks when they come under his gaze, and due to this feature of his, the boy has had no trouble catching the eye of many a girl his age and younger.
Body & Style: Rodolphus is a solid example of a person, neither thin nor overly large. He comes in at an even 6’0”, which he finds absurdly short, seeing as many of his friends and companions have three or four inches on his height, not to mention his younger brother. He is toned, but none of his muscles are very prominent or noticeable. The older of the Lestrange boys is not the most outward of the two, but he has an ultimate sense of prestige and a way of carrying himself that is utterly irresistible, especially as he is the first heir of the Lestrange fortune.

Strengths:
+Charms- his favorite subject is also his strongest suit in the magical arts. His mastery of it is often a boon on raids, or attacks, when most Death Eaters only excel at offensive spells and curses.
+Poise- he is a pureblood to the core, and can hide his emotions to a T. He may not be quite as oil-smooth as Lucius Malfoy, but he is still considered to be a master.
+He is actually quite apt at managing money, and has already started bolstering up the estates so his mother and his brother will not be “on the streets” as it were, when he married and inherits the family fortune.
Weaknesses:
-He is, in anything but the matters mentioned above, very weak-minded. This is not to say he is unintelligent, he is just more apt to follow the higher power than his own judgment.
-Like most elite purebloods, he has a fairly large superiority complex, which can get him in trouble with the more liberal members of staff
-He is always slow and deliberate in his decisions, which can lead to many missed opportunities.

Personality: Outwardly, Rodolphus is the personification of a pure-blood heir. He is haughty, proud, and has been raised to be smooth and sleek in all he does, whether it’s a gathering of the most powerful people where he has to play politics, or a simple interaction with a teacher or fellow student. He has been raised that way, despite the notable absence of a male influence in his life.
Inside, there is a much deeper conflict going on. The boy’s soul had been undeniably corrupted by the power and responsibility thrust upon him as the eldest son, leaving him almost incapable of the finer emotions that normal people can enjoy- real love, or happiness in it’s purest form. Thus, his hatred of muggles and mudbloods is something that runs a bit deeper then what was impressed on him for his whole life. He hates them because they are happy with their lives, even as the dirty, filthy, unworthy creatures they are. He hates them because they have what he can never have.
Therefore, the older Lestrange boy’s inner evil is much subtler. Instead of being hidden under the superficiality of his outside appearance and physical charm, Rodolphus’ true self is hidden under so many veils of properness and smooth mannerisms that it is rare for him to be outwardly evil or cruel. The capability is nevertheless there and one would almost say that if you looked into his eyes, it could be seen.
That being said, Rodolphus is particularly susceptible to obsession and lust- often mistaking this combination for love, having never truly experienced that feeling, save from his mother, who became a cold woman soon after her husband’s death. Rodolphus is, essentially, weak, and a follower, though he would never let it show.

History: Rodolphus was born the first son to one of the prestigious pureblood families in England, and was tailored as the heir from the second he took his first breath of the cold, aristocratic air in the Lestrange Manor.
His father died only a week or two after siring Rabastan- leaving a gaping hole in the education the heir to the estate would normally have. Therefore, the only memory of his father Rodolphus has is a heavy shadow hovering over his small form in his bassinet, noble even in infanthood.
As he grew, Rodolphus was tailored by his often cold mother and distant relatives to be the perfect heir- and that is what he became. When it came time for him to go to school, his mother made an unexpected choice- to send her children to Hogwarts, and not Durmstrang as had been expected. At 11, the boy had already become in part the cold, unfeeling person he was destined to grow into, and had no outward reaction of anger as his younger brother did.
His interactions at the school with those of tainted blood re-enforced the inbred hatred that he had learned from his family, and by the time he was old enough to join the Death Eaters at the early age of 16, he was the first in his year to line up to be branded for the Dark Lord’s service.
Most recently, Madame Lestrange has arranged a marriage for Rodolphus with the eldest of the Black sisters,
