It was still early in the morning; breakfast had just finished, and thankfully, the professors had half an hour to get ready for lessons. Which meant Jonathan had a chance to get a cup of coffee and have a chat with some of the professors who had been at Hogwarts for a few years. Jonathan was hoping to make a few friends quickly, but he was also hoping to get some advice. Afterall, he had no experience what so ever in teaching; so he truely hoped that at least one of the teachers could help him.

Making his way over to the pot of brewing coffee; Jonathan tried to search for a cup that he could use. Various ones were marked, but some seemed to be free. But because of his eyesight, it did make it hard for him to determine wether or not they were already owened. Grabbing one of the cups, he angled his head in such a way that he could see the cup more clearly. Thankfully the cup had no name or sign of ownership upon it. So he placed the cup on the counter and began to make himself a coffee.

Jonathan was hoping to speak with Dumbledore at some point, he wanted to thank him for allowing him to come work here, and he also wished to ask Dumbledore a few questions. Jonathan had already been around most of the school, and he was wondering if he could maximise the defense in some way. The castle's defences were already on a high standered; but with the slow rise of Lord Voldemort, Jonathan was slightly worried that they might not have enough defense.

As the water finally boiled, Jonathan carefully picked up the steaming pot and poured the hot water into his cup. He had to be careful, more then usual. His lost of sight had affected his ability to judge distances. And there had been many a time when Jonathan had ended up spilling hot water on himself. And he didn't want to do that today; not when he had his first lesson in half an hour.
